Malcolm Choat is Associate Dean, Research Training and Performance in the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University. He is a Professor of History, and researches variously Christianity and monasticism in late antique Egypt; scribal practice in Greek and Coptic documentary papyri; forgeries and discourses of authenticity; and the ethics of studying the ancient world.
