About
The DASSH Bachelor of Arts Working Group brings together academic leaders from across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to strengthen and promote the Bachelor of Arts (BA) as a cornerstone qualification in higher education.
The working group provides a forum for members to explore emerging challenges and opportunities, and develop a stronger evidence base to support the future of the BA. Current priorities include examining curriculum design, program structures, majors, core requirements, work-integrated learning and graduate outcomes, while identifying opportunities for collaboration and sector-wide advocacy.
Through comparative analysis, discussion and shared expertise, the working group aims to better understand the evolving role of the BA and support its ongoing relevance in preparing graduates with the broad knowledge, critical thinking and transferable capabilities needed to address complex societal challenges.
Participation is open to all DASSH member institutions.
