Professor Claire Maxwell leads the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University, which delivers a large Bachelor of Arts program alongside a wide range of other undergraduate and postgraduate offerings. She has a long-standing commitment to leadership in teaching and curriculum design, having served as Faculty Director for Undergraduate Programs at University College London and co-led the review of the Sociology suite at the University of Copenhagen, where work-integrated learning was a particular focus. A sociologist by training, Claire’s research examines elites and education, and privileged forms of transnational migration.
