Professor Mark Loon is the Dean of the School of Business and Creative Industries, and a Professor in Management and Organisational Studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Mark has held several senior management positions as Head of Department, Assistant Dean, and Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research in Australian and UK Universities. Prior to academia, he was a management consultant for over 10 years with firms such as Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini and KPMG. Mark is a Visiting Professor at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, UK, the External Examiner for Hult International Business School’s Doctor of Business Administration program and a mentor with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). He is currently the Vice President of the Australian Business Deans Council and was formerly a Co-Vice Chair in the British Academy of Management. Mark holds a PhD and a DBA. He is a Chartered Scientist with the Science Council, UK, and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, UK. He is also a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
