Ellen joined DASSH as the Research and Engagement Officer in September 2024 and moved into the Interim Executive Director role in December 2025. Ellen leads advocacy efforts for the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities disciplines on behalf of university leaders in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. She is responsible for daily operations and engagement with members, and delivering the organisation’s strategic objectives.
She holds a Master of Research and a Bachelor of Social Science from Macquarie University. Ellen is currently completing a PhD in Politics and International Relations as a cotutelle program between Macquarie University and University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
