Ellen joined DASSH as the Research and Engagement Officer in September 2024 and moved into the Executive Director role in December 2025. Ellen’s role at DASSH is to lead collective advocacy efforts for the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines in consultation with and on behalf of university leaders in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

She is responsible for daily operations and engagement with members, and delivering the organisation’s strategic objectives in collaboration with the DASSH Board.

Ellen holds a Master of Research and a Bachelor of Social Science in Philosophy and Politics and International Relations from Macquarie University. She is currently completing a PhD in the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University. This is a cotutelle program with University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
