Dr Miriam Neigert is a lecturer and discipline convenor of German Studies at the University of New England. Her research focuses on language learning in relation to age, motivation, assessment and digital media. Miriam has more than 15 years of teaching experience in a variety of adult and higher education contexts in both Germany and Australia, and she is a recipient of the 2023 AAUT Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. She has published a book on older language learners and has several other publications on language learning in higher education.
