A seasoned senior executive, Bronte has more than two decades of experience in the higher education sector, managing multidisciplinary teams spanning strategy, domestic and international recruitment and admissions, transnational education, web and marketing, media, and alumni relations.
As Vice-President (External Engagement) at Swinburne University of Technology, Bronte contributes to the achievement of the University’s strategic plan through leadership of engagement connections and activities concerning prospective students, alumni, donors, national and international partnerships, global mobility, indigenous engagement, media and other key market stakeholders. Prior to her role as Vice-President (External Engagement), Bronte was Swinburne’s inaugural Pro Vice-Chancellor Future Students, which saw her establish a new division, bringing together the university’s domestic and international student recruitment and admissions teams.
Bronte is an advocate of dual sector universities, having commenced her career in tertiary education at RMIT University, before being employed at Victoria University.
Prior to working in the tertiary education sector in Australia, Bronte worked for local government in Japan. Bronte’s interest in international education was shaped by her educational experiences in Japan as a master’s student.
