Sarah Midford is the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching, and an Associate Professor of Classics and Ancient History in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at La Trobe University. Sarah is also the Deputy Chairperson of the SHAPE Futures Early and Mid Career Researchers Network. Established in 2021, SHAPE Futures maintains a network of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts researchers. It fosters a culture of collaboration, support and well-being and provides a national voice for early and mid career researchers across the higher education sector. Sarah has won multiple awards for teaching and learning, including an Australian Award for University Teaching Citation, and is a keen advocate for interdisciplinary research, the advancement of SHAPE disciplines, and career development opportunities for emerging researchers.
