Research Professional News has reported on our submission on the proposed Australian Tertiary Education Commission this week.
Our members raised concerns that the Commission will contribute to the increasing regulatory and administrative cost of higher education and will limit academic influence over the core functions of the university.
We also argued that those leading the Commission must have in-depth knowledge of the higher education sector to enable them to undertake their role effectively.
