We are excited to announce the release of the 2025 edition of the Impact and Outcomes Australia report. This is an updated edition reporting the wide-ranging economic, social and cultural impacts of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand first released in 2024.
Key points of interest from the 2025 report:
- In 2024, almost 90% of Humanities, Culture and Social Sciences graduates were in full-time employment within three years of graduating.
- Employers rated the employability and adaptive skills of our graduates the highest across all study areas with positive ratings over 90%.
- In 2024, teaching quality and engagement across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels were major strengths of our disciplines.
- Humanities, Culture and Social Sciences postgraduates rated the quality of entire educational experience the highest across all study areas at 85%.
- Almost 31% of First Nations students commencing study in 2024 were enrolled in Society and Culture, making it the biggest cohort of all study areas.
- Culture and creative activity contributed 2.5% GDP to the Australian economy between 2022-2023 which is comparable to Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing Industry.
