Under the DASSH Discipline Support Strategy, DASSH established a Network of Associate Deans (Learning and Teaching) in 2009 and a Network of Associate Deans (Research) in September 2011.  A Network of Associate Deans (International) was established in 2016. DASSH has developed an Associate Deans Networks Framework of Support which can be found here.

Aims of the Networks of Associate Deans

  • To support those who aspire to become Deans with professional skills development
  • Knowledge sharing regarding current issues and good practice as well as an engaged collegial support network.

DASSH encourages these Associate Dean networks to take a leadership role in advocating and influencing higher education public policy on research, learning and teaching issues affecting the arts, social sciences and humanities.
